Used as bare overhead
transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution
cable. ACSR/AW offers the same strength characteristics as
ACSR, along with slightly greater ampacity and resistance to
corrosion due to the aluminum cladding of the steel core
wires. It provides greater protection where corrosive
conditions are severe.

Aluminum alloy 1350-H19 wires,
concentrically stranded about an aluminum-clad steel core
(aluminum thickness of not less than 10% of nominal wire
radius).
